COR is a highly regulated, nationally recognized safety program that provides a higher standard of health and safety on construction sites than is otherwise required. The objectives of COR are to provide industry employers with an effective safety and health management system to reduce incidents, accidents and injuries as well as the associated human and financial costs.
COR is now frequently used as a pre-qualification and/or condition of contract by public and private project owners across Canada. COR is endorsed by Manitoba Labour, Workplace Safety & Health Division and the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba. COR certified status is the distinguishing mark that verifies companies that have implemented a comprehensive safety program.
What does this mean to you as a homeowner?
As a COR certified company, Chateau Roofing becomes the Prime Contractor and assumes all health and safety liability on the construction site. This means that the homeowner is released of liability for accidents, incidents and injuries that occur on the construction site.
